A gathering place for local children

As part of our social contribution, we are providing part of the land of our privately-owned Rinko Wharf to Niigata City for use as a park at no cost to the city.
This site has been developed as a park, and the first large-scale compound playground equipment in the city has been installed.
The park is equipped with about 70 types of playground equipment, including sailboat-shaped playground equipment inspired by the port town of Niigata as well as equipment for adults to stretch.

Sustainable economy

Commitment to realize work-life balance

  • System for employers and labor unions to monitor overtime hours
  • Agreed working hours that are less than legal working hours per day
  • Visualization of annual paid leave usage, utilizing the Health and Safety Committee
  • Long-term employment maintenance and income compensation during personal injuries or sick leave

Substitute port for ports on the Pacific side in the event of a large-scale disaster

At the time of the Great East Japan Earthquake, Niigata Port was a substitute port for the Pacific Ocean side that was unable to operate properly.
From the BCP perspective, the role of Niigata Port, which is the largest logistics base on the Sea of Japan, is important. We continue to handle logistics at Niigata Port.

Sustainable global environment

We protect the ecosystem of the sea where we work

In order to protect the ecosystem of the sea where we work, we implement port cargo handling operations that consider the preservation of the marine environment. We also appropriately collect and sort marine garbage that drifts ashore at our own ports and dispose of it as industrial waste.

Work to protect the environment by recycling wood

We have the largest floor area for wood recycling in Niigata Prefecture. By changing waste wood into fuel, we contribute to the conservation and restoration of forests and the utilization of resources.
